    • Using one color
    • Using multiple colors

How To Choose Eyeliner Colors For your Eyes?

Just like the color of your eyes plays a role in your eye makeup, it becomes important when choosing colored eyeliners as well. While black is the universal eyeliner color but when trying out eye pencils of other colors some basic rules apply.

  • Colored eyeliner shades for brown eyes: gold, pink, violet, purple, lavender, turquoise, aqua, and cobalt.
  • Colored eyeliner shades for blue eyes: primarily colors belonging to the orange family, such as rust, bronze, peach, copper. For contrast, use navy blue color eyeliner.
  • Colored eyeliner shades for green eyes: bronze, amethyst, rust, mahogany.

• Colored eyeliner shades for black eyes: use darker shades of pink and brown, such as mauve and coffee. For contrast, use yellow and electric blue liquid eyeliner.

How To Apply Colored Eyeliner?

If you are looking for eyeliner makeup inspiration, you don’t need to look further. We tell you how to style your colored eyeliner pencils using ample examples.

When using just one colored eyeliner

1. Applying colored eyeliner on just upper lash line: This look can be carried any time of the day and any where, and with literally any color! If you are attending a function, a simple electric blue eyeliner makeup will do the trick. If it’s an evening party, pair gold eyeliner with brown eyeshadow. For a through-the-day or office look, subtle colors such as pink or grey eyeliner will look great.

2. Applying colored eyeliner on just the lower lash line: Another simple eyeliner trick is to apply it on the lower lash line and smudge it. It adds a pop of color without being overtly dramatic.

3. Applying colored eyeliner on the waterline: Traditionally, we have always used black kajal on our waterline, but it’s time to break the mould. If you are still new to colored eyeliners, we suggest you use it with nude eye pencil on your waterline. But to take it a level up, vine and turquoise.

You can experiment even more with this look by using glitter eyeliner as fillers.

Embrace Change,…Re-invent Your Lifestyles!!!!!

By The iDitch Editorial Board.

Have you been flirting with the idea of changing the color of your hair?, do you want to color your hair and change your look overnight? When you ponder about coloring styles and hair color

brands, does the word “ammonia” ring any warning bells in your ears? Are you confused or apprehensive by the ammonia-free hair color label on hair coloring products and what it means? Then this post is going to answer all your questions and put your concerns about hair coloring to rest.

Most Artisans and Clients alike are under the impression that all hair coloring products are bad for their hair. They have heard horror stories of itching or burning sensations in the scalp, uneven end results, and a drastic rise in the number of grey hair or hair damage after hair coloring treatments. While this may have happened to many people in the past, there are plenty of brands that have launched hair coloring products that are not as harsh on your hair as the dyes of the past. You can color your hair to your heart’s desire without worrying about any damage. Ammonia-free hair coloring products is the way to go…..REQUEST AMONIA FREE HAIR DYES FROM YOUR iDitch ARTISANS.

In this post you will learn:

  • What ammonia based hair coloring products do to your hair
  • What ammonia-free hair coloring products are
  • 3 reasons why you should use ammonia-free hair coloringproductsWhat Damage does Ammonia-based Hair Colors do to Your Hair?Hair coloring is a chemical reaction in which one or more chemicals in the hair coloring product acts as a swelling agent for the hair cuticle. This helps the hair follicle to absorb the hair coloring product or dye easily and makes the color go deep into

the hair cuticle. In the past, the hair follicle swelling agent used to be ammonia in most hair coloring products.
The resulting hair color from an ammonia-based hair color lasts long and looks vibrant. Since ammonia molecules are small, they evaporate fast and are also easy to rinse after coloring. They also react with the melanin (the color pigment in the hair) to help make the hair lighter. Hair stylists also preferred ammonia-based hair colors it products since it was easy to wash and delivered great results (in the short term).

However, ammonia-based hair coloring products are known to cause plenty of side effects that will be discussed in the later section of this article. But let us introduce you to the world of ammonia-free hair colors.

A simple egg and honey mask can reverse the damage caused by ammonia-based hair dye.

What are Ammonia-free Hair Colors?

Ammonia-free hair colors, as the name Implies, are hair coloring products that are free of ammonia and contain other chemicals that help impart hair color to your hair. These hair coloring products contain emollient oils and other ingredients so that the hair cuticle does not lose moisture or protein during the hair coloring process. The chemicals in these hair coloring products are gentler on the hair and prevent hair damage. By using ammonia-free products from hair coloring brands, you can ensure

that your hair does not get damaged and you can color it without any worries.

3 Reasons to Use Ammonia-free Hair Colors

Many hair dye brands now offer ammonia-free hair coloring products. Here are three reasons why you should switch to ammonia free hair products or opt for these products as an iDitch Artisan instead of ammonia-based hair coloring products:

  • No Itchy Scalp: Ammonia molecules can irritate your scalp causing itchiness or burning sensation in your scalp. Many people have had severe reactions to ammonia-based hair coloring products. If you want to prevent this, opt for the best hair coloring products that are ammonia-free.
  • Healthier Hair: Ammonia disturbs the pH balance of the hair and also causes moisture and protein loss in the hair. So, if you want to maintain healthy hair after coloring, consider using ammonia-free hair coloring products.
  • Say No to Pungent Smell: Ammonia molecules are small and evaporate quickly after application of hair color. This leads to a strong smell when you color your hair. It can irritate your eyes and can make it difficult for you to breathe. Ammonia- free hair products do not have this strong smell and do not irritate your senses.

Last Words on Ammonia-Free Hair Color

While hair color is relatively more vibrant and long-lasting with ammonia-based hair dye brands, more and more people are opting for ammonia-free hair colors. Hair dye brands are also coming up with ammonia-free hair colors and dyes that are not harsh on your hair. You can also go for an organic hair color if you want to experiment with different colors without affecting the health of your hair negatively.

Adding regular hair spa treatment to your hair care routine can also reverse the damage caused by ammonia-based hair colors. Re-invent Your Lifestyle…Embrace Change….#iDitch #iDitchApp

In today’s society, every one of us has this expectation to look presentable every single minute we step outside, especially when we have someone important or new to meet. Some of us, unbeknownst to us opt for the heavy makeup to cover up those facial skin discoloration, bumps, pimples, freckles and marks that we all have, while others keep it basically simple with less volume, which translates to subtle makeup. In this context, using the right blush is essential to your makeup routine. Blush palettes are always the preferred choice, as they are more economical and offer several colors and shades at the same time.

To create a sophisticated look, let your iDitch make up artist try on some peach blush with a matte nude lipstick on your face, to get the trending ‘No makeup – makeup look’. Of course, you can simply brush a pink blush across
the cheeks, a mode regularly employed by our very well vetted professional ” Artisans…

Have our Artisans Accentuate your cheeks with a blush according to the shape of your face by following this detailed guide.

Applying Blush According To Your Face Shape

1. Oval shaped face

If your face is oval shaped, feel free to experiment in any way with blush. Our iDitch Make Up Artist would recommend that you highlight your cheekbones, by starting off at the middle of the apple of your cheeks, and sweeping the brush toward the temples.

2. Round shaped face

If you have a lovely round-shaped face, have our Make-Up Artist # apply blush on your cheeks, by adding some definition and structure to your face shape, by accentuating your cheekbones. If your cheekbones are not visible, you could suck in your cheeks and brush in some blush color at 45-degree angle.

3. Square shaped face

The iDitch Artisan Make-Up Artist ” could soften your jawline, if you have a square face shape, by applying blush in small circles, with more focus on the apple of your cheeks. This trick will make your face look fuller and rounder, by taking the emphasis away from the jawline.

4. Heart shaped face

Those beauties with heart-shaped faces have to have our Artisans apply face blush in circles around the apples of the
cheeks too, and end the strokes by slightly moving the brush upwards towards the temple.

5. Rectangle shaped face

To create the illusion of width, request our iDitch Artisans to balance out the natural length of your face, Request Artisans to try out horizontal strokes of blush on face, and blending it smoothly at the end of the application, for the pop of colors to look as natural as possible. For this method, it is recommended to use subtle and simple colors, instead of bright shades.

meets your cheek at a time. The lighter and closer to your skin tone the color of the blush is, the more natural and blended it would look. Experiment with varied shades and styles, to seek the best option for yourself.

iDitchPro Tip: In case you end up trying to do your own make-up one day…

Everything You Need to Know About facialSheet Masks

The Lowdown On This Skin Care Trend

BY Sese Saki Johnson

The latest trend in facial masks is what are called sheet masks, which is a type of face mask you use once and then
toss. It’s also a lot of fun to take a selfie while wearing it. Just as the name implies, a sheet mask is a cloth sheet with
holes for your eyes, nose, and mouth. You lay the mask on your face, remove after about 20 minutes, and then
toss.  There is a sheet mask for every facial skin type and skin condition.

Sheet masks can brighten dull skin, clear up acne, and moisturize dry skin—it all depends on what mask you
choose.  Sheet masks range in price from a few dollars to over $50, but you definitely do not need to shell out a lot of
money to jump on this trend. Our iDitch Artisans are trained in the exclusive skills of prepping the face and neck area before applying the facial sheet masks professionally.

How to professionally apply A Sheet Mask?

The sheet mask trend stems from South Korea. Korean women (and men) spend a lot of time and effort caring for
their facial skin and using a sheet mask is a regular part of their elaborate facial skin care routine.  Many people apply sheet masks themselves and use sheet masks just once a week, but there is a growing trend to use sheet masks once a day or twice a day.  Using a sheet mask even once a week can have great benefits for and to your facial skin.  Think of it as a targeted facial skin care treatment and ask yourself: what does your facial skin need now?  Then download the iDitch App and choose a vetted professional, who knows all about sheet masks, their ingredients, application, their pros and relations to your facial skin.  It also does not matter what time of the day you use the sheet mask—morning, afternoon, evening—what matters the most is who is applying the sheet mask on your face and do they know what they are actually doing…and when it is most convenient for you to book
the iDitch Gig.

Sheet Mask Hacks

In order to get the best results from the iDitch Artisan’s application of the sheet mask on your face area, the Artisan
would have to do the following…
Wash your face thoroughly with a moisturizing soap before applying your sheet mask.  Applying a mask with
a serum to dirty skin is a no-no. You will not get any benefits from applying a mask to unwashed facial skin.
Less is more. The Artisan would not leave the mask on your face for longer than 20 minutes.  The Artisan would
time him/herself to make sure that the mask does not exceed the time limit on your face.. leaving the mask on
for longer May cause skin irritation. The Artisan must allow you to read the instructions that come with the
mask before applying it to your face and the iDitch Artisan makes sure that you never go to sleep with a sheet mask on your face.

Our iDitch Artisan would make sure that your face is not washed immediately after the application of the sheet
mask.  If there is serum left on your facial skin after using the mask, the Artisan would gently pat the serum into
your skin until it is fully absorbed. A moisturizer of your skin type, (which would have been previously discussed
and arranged) would be applied to your facial skin after using a sheet mask if needed.
If the God was done while it is still light outside, the Artisan will apply sunscreen after removing the mask.

Which Mask Is Best For My Skin?

Our iDitch Artisan and you must deliberate on the kind of skin that you think you have, before booking this Gig, the
information gathered from you would enable, your Gig service provider, do the best that they are trained to do, to give your that iDitch quality service that you have come to trust…

There are sheet masks made from microfiber, hydrogel, bio cellulose, foil, knit, and charcoal, no to mention
the different ingredients in each mask. With all the variety of sheet masks to choose from how do you know which one is best for your skin?
Here are a few suggestions to clear up any confusion:

  • Oily skin:  Yes to tomatoes ache fighting paper masks…these contains salicylic acid to clear up acne

Cutting and Styling Tips for Curly Hair

Feel overwhelmed every time a big head of curly hair sits down in your chair? Well, you’re not alone. Cutting curls
seems to incite fear in many a talented stylist but fear no more as we break down the top tips in cutting and styling curly hair.

Put Down the Shampoo!

The biggest mistake I see people make when cutting for curly hair is beginning the service with a nice rough shampoo. Nothing frizzes or fluffs up curls more than a good sudsing. Using conditioner like shampoo will do the trick and you won’t have to worry about roughing up that sensitive cuticle. Explain to them that dirt and oil will adhere to the conditioner and rinse out leaving you feeling clean but without the glassy feeling that shampoo can leave behind. In general, I tell all of my curly haired clients to not use shampoo more than once a week. They’ll see a huge difference in their curls once they start laying off the stuff.

Layers are a Curls Best Friend

A lot of curly haired clients come to me with barely any layers at all. They’ve either been botched in the past or they’re afraid that if you remove too much weight, then their hair will be big and puffy. On the contrary, if you don’t remove enough weight, then you will be left with the dreaded triangle head. Curly hair needs layers to move. I usually cut vertical layers on my clients and then go back in, cutting individual curls to break it up and give the hair some movement. This technique breaks up the layering so the hair doesn’t have any strong or hard lines in it…

Don’t Shred Those Ends!

Nothing destroys curly hair more than too much texturizing. I’ve had many a curly haired client be completely traumatized by a cut-happy stylist that couldn’t put down the thinning shears.
Curly hair needs weight removed from its bulk, but the weight should never be removed from the ends. Curly hair needs the ends to be heavy so the curl can take shape. When you overtexturize curly hair, you disturb the curl pattern and end up with frizz.

Mind the Length

When cutting for curly hair, always remember that the length will shrink up more than expected. Unfortunately, curly haired clients tend to go longer in-between cuts which means that their ends usually need more off than they’re willing to part with. Explain exactly how much length you will be removing and always err on the side of less is more. Some of my clients gain as much as 5 inches in length when their hair is wet and it can be easy to get carried away if you’re not careful.

Rewet Before you Style

We already know that curly hair frizzes up when the curl pattern is disturbed, so why would you style curly hair after it has been cut and combed without reshaping the curl pattern first?
The easiest way to reshape the curl is by rewetting the hair. I usually take my clients back to the shampoo bowl, or if they have fine hair, I’ll just spray them down at the chair after we’re done cutting and before we start styling. Once you’ve wet them down, put down that comb! We’ll be using our fingers from here on out.

Choosing the Right Products for Curly Hair

Products companies target curly haired people by playing on the fact that they’re desperate to find something that works. They know we’ll try anything if it promises to banish frizz, but often times you just end up with too many products. The only two products I use on myself (I have huge curly hair) and my clients are conditioner and gel. You don’t need anything else!

Properly Applying the Product

Now that we’ve figured out what products to use, we have to learn how to use them. You know how curly hair looks great wet and then dries into a frizzy mess? Well, the water is what’s weighing the hair down and gluing it together – When the hair dries, the water evaporates and you lose that adhesive, causing the hair to separate and frizz.
By leaving a regular conditioner in the hair, the water can evaporate but the conditioner doesn’t, leaving you with
perfectly defined and fizz-free curls. If your client is worried that their hair will feel greasy, explain to them that conditioner goes inside the cuticle and doesn’t stay on top of it, so they shouldn’t feel it in their hair.
That being said, if your client has very fine hair, it would be a good idea to substitute regular conditioner for a leave-in.

Don’t Touch!

Now that you’ve applied conditioner with your fingers and scrunched in the gel, you can either air-dry (which usually gives the best results) or dry with a diffuser. The secret to drying curly hair without frizz is to keep your hands off of it until the hair is completely dry. That means no scooping the hair up into the diffuser or scrunching it with your hands! Once the hair is at least 80% dry, you can go in and shake out the hair to release the curl and give it some volume.

Having Trouble With Your Curly Hair?

Curls are Fashionable Again

There are many ways to wear curly hair. Short on the sides and long on top is a fun and fashionable way to sport curls. It’s also a great way to more easily manage curly hair.

A Mass of Curls

Guys with hair that is thick and with tight curls have an opportunity to make it a defining feature of their look. a
hairstyle like this would definitely require some sort of antifrizz serum and perhaps a leave-in conditioner.

A Bit Shaggy

Hair that has a strong wave or loose curl can look great shaggy.

Having Fun with Curls

Whether you are going for a high fashion look or growing your hair out, having fun with a curly hairstyle is the best approach.

Curly Hair is Stunning

Letting your hair grow out just enough to let curls begin to form is a great way deal with curly hair. A hairstyle like this is also tidy for guys who need to look more professional.

Beach Curls

There is nothing like the look of having just come from a swim at the beach or riding the waves. A little moose can easily help you achieve this look.

Add Some Shine

A little pomade or serum can really add shine to your hair and help define your curls.

A Little Longer on Top

Keeping the hair shorter (but not too short) on the sides and back while keeping it longer on top is a great way to keep your hair tidy and show off a little curl.

Clipped Short

Some guys with curly hair opt to cut it short. If you have tight curls, then even when short you can see them like in this photo. It’s a great look.

The No Fuss Look

Another easy way to handle curly hair is to let it grow just long enough to let curls form, but also let it be more untidy.

Embracing Your Curls

Like I said before, guys with hair that is thick and with tight curls have an opportunity to make it a defining feature of their look. A hairstyle like this would definitely require some sort of anti-frizz serum and some leave-in conditioner.

Medium Length with Ringlets

Leaving a little length so that your hair can form ringlets can be such an amazing way to show off your hair. If I had curly hair, this is how I would wear it.

How to Avoid 5 Mistakes that Men often make with their hair

BY:- Michael Sanders……Entrepreneur, Certified iDitch Artisan

From shaving the temple points to trying to cut his own hair, taking matters into your own hands can sometimes result in disaster (or at least leave you looking silly before you request an iDitch Artisan on the iDitch App platform.
Here are five tips for avoiding the most common mistakes men make with their hair.

Shaving Off Sideburns

Never trim your sideburns higher than about one-quarter inch below the point where the top part of the ear connects to your head. This isn’t the 1980s when the horrible trend of shaving the sideburn higher than the top of the ear was popular, and I hope we never see that trend again.
Your sideburns play a big part in framing your face, so adjust them accordingly. These days, there is no real trend for how long your sideburns should be. In general, do what fits your style. That said, a longer sideburn works well on a square face or a face with a long chin, a short sideburn can balance a short or weak chin, and a round face can benefit from a fuller, medium length sideburn. Another good rule is that, if you wear short hair, a more neatly trimmed sideburn looks appropriate, while those with longer hair can pull off a fuller ‘burn.

Shaving Off Temple Points

Never shave off the point of hair at your temples. For almost every man, the hair on the sides of the head forms a little bit of a point just above the temples. This is completely natural, yet there are a few clients who seem to insist on shaving it off and it just looks strange.

As an iDitch Artisan, I will often clean up the area to remove any stray hairs and, for some, taper this area a little tighter to balance the face. Generally, the shape of the hair will naturally conform to the shape of the temple area and should be left natural as possible. Anytime one shaves beyond the natural hairline, it can look odd and, after a few days, looks unsightly as it grows out.

Shaving the Neckline Too High

Never shave the back of the neck high into the hairline. It drives me nuts to see a barber block a haircut high into a
client’s neckline. This may look good for a minute, but two days after the haircut starts to grow out and stubble appears on the neck, the haircut will look like (insert your favorite expletive here).

For those who would like a higher, tighter neckline, opt for a taper instead as it will grow out more neatly. If you do like blocked or rounded (outlined) look, ask your barber to stick as closely to the natural hairline as possible so the hair will grow out evenly. It is also helpful to know the different types of hairline finishes so you can choose the one that is right for you. make sure you chat with your Artisan at length until you are totally satisfied that he understands what kind of service you need. When the Artisan arrives at the Gig location, make sure you reiterate all what was previously discussed over Chat, before the Gig starts.

Cutting Their Own Hair

Never cut your own hair. Unless you’re performing a simple buzz, which more after than not turns out to be a terrible mistake. your hair is best left in the hands of a professional.

Like your professional vetted iDitch Artisan, Your hair is such a huge part of your look, it’s important to get it done right.

Granted, there are ways to save money on haircuts and grooming, but most barbers and stylists go through fairly
extensive training before they are allowed to pick up a pair of shears. Cutting hair and delivery above standard services to your clients is not an easy feet and doing it right is not as easy as it looks….Embrace Change, Reinvent your lifestyle.

Shopping on Price Alone

Never shop for your haircut on price alone. As I mentioned above, your haircut is a huge part of your look. In my career as an Artisan, I have fixed more cheap chain and overpriced salon haircuts than I care to count.
Here at iDitch, our Artisans are vastly experienced in the art of hair Barbering and grooming, with an extensive array of years of experience, an iDitch Artisan knows what it takes to give you the client that great haircut that suits you face and personality. A great haircut is worth a little extra time and effort than going to a cheap, high-volume chain, but a high price doesn’t always mean you’ll get a great haircut. The decision on who cuts your hair should be based on a variety of factors such as your hair length and personal style. So, consider other factors before you choose an Artisan to style your hair!

Avoid These Mistakes

If you’re guilty of one of the above men’s hair mistakes, now you know. Consult your barber or stylist who can show you things like proper sideburn length and how to maintain your style between visits.

The Importance Of Regular Grooming for Men

By Johnnie Nelson. (Associate Writer)

Whether you are looking to grow your hair or beard out or wanting to keep your look sharp and well-groomed, you need to know how important it is to get regular beard grooming, facials and haircuts. We recommend getting a
trim at least once every two to three weeks, sometimes less if you have been blessed with fast growing follicles. To get rid of the split ends in and around your beard and hair, (Yes split ends….Men have split ends too, just
like women).Having a good beard grooming or haircut on a regular basis will help prevent damaged, tired and flat looking facial hair or the hair on your head. The longest part of your hair is the oldest, it takes the brunt of
any heat or chemical damage and can often leave your hair looking lifeless.

Check out these top reasons put together by our iDitch team for the importance of a regular haircut.

Healthier looking Beard…Happy Man

Healthy hair is easier to manage and that is a fact! The time that you currently spend styling your hair will be slashed with regular trims, leaving more time on grooming that beard. Trims, not cuts, are regular
essentials,..A trim could be just a tapper fade, or a hair lining…depending on what mood or occasion it is, we recommend getting a quick trim at least once every ten days…

iDitch Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs): General Information

What is a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)?
Do I need an MSDS?

In Canada, every material that is controlled by WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) must have an accompanying MSDS that is specific to each individual product or material (both the product name and supplier on the MSDS must match the material in use).

What information is on the MSDS?

There are nine (9) categories of information that must be present on an MSDS in the United States of America and Canada. These categories are specified in the Controlled Products Regulations and include:

1 Product Information: product identifier (name), manufacturer and suppliers names, addresses, and emergency phone numbers2 Hazardous Ingredients
3 Physical Data
4 Fire or Explosion Hazard Data
5 Reactivity Data: information on the chemical instability of a product and the substances it may react with
6 Toxicological Properties: health effects
7 Preventive Measures
8 First Aid Measures
9 Preparation Information: who is responsible for preparation and date of preparation of MSDS

The Controlled Products Regulations prescribes what information must be present in more detail.

Are MSDSs using the 16-heading format acceptable in The USA and Canada?

Yes, as long as two conditions are met. First, all the required information specified under Column III of Schedule I of the Controlled Products Regulations (CPR) must be addressed. All headings and subheadings that are on the MSDS must be addressed by providing the required information or by stating that the information is not available or not applicable, whichever is appropriate.

Second, the statement “This product has been classified in accordance with the hazard criteria of the CPR and the MSDS contains all of the information required by the CPR” must appear under the section heading “Regulatory Information”.

Why is my MSDS so hard to understand?

Traditionally the intended readers of MSDSs were occupational hygienists and safety professionals. Now the audience also includes employers, workers, supervisors, nurses, doctors, emergency responders and workers. To ensure that MSDS users can quickly find the information that they need, the information should be in an easy-to-read format and written in a clear, precise and understandable manner.

For most people who work with controlled products, there are some sections that are more important than others. You should always read the name of the chemical, know the hazards, understand safe handling and storage instructions, as well as understand what to do in an emergency.

Is all the information I need on the MSDS?

Not necessarily. A lot of health hazard information, for example, is written in general terms. Your health and safety specialist, occupational health nurse or family doctor should be able to help you find more information if needed.

When would I use an MSDS?

Always be familiar with the hazards of a product BEFORE you start using it. You should look at a MSDS, match the name of the chemical on your container to the one on the MSDS, know the hazards, understand safe handling and storage instructions, as well as understand what to do in an emergency.

Why do some MSDSs look different?

MSDSs look different because only certain content of the MSDS is specified by law. The format is left up to the manufacturer or supplier who writes the MSDS. Some manufacturers/suppliers put more details in than what is required. However, the information for the nine basic categories must always be in an American or Canadian MSDS for a controlled product.

Can an MSDS be too old?

Yes. Under WHMIS law, an MSDS for a controlled product must not be more than three years old. If you are still using a product that you bought more than three years ago, you may not have a current MSDS. Contact the manufacturer or supplier again and ask for a newer version of the MSDS.

The three-year time limit does not apply to MSDSs for noncontrolled products (i.e. products that do not meet WHMIS criteria).

How often should an MSDS be updated?

If new, significant information becomes available before the three years has elapsed, the supplier is required to update the product label and MSDS.

If there is no new information on the ingredients by the end of the three-year period, the supplier should review the MSDS and the  label for accuracy, revise it where necessary, and revise the preparation date on the MSDS.

As an independent business owner/Artisan, do I have responsibilities for MSDSs?

Yes. All Artisans Business owners must make sure that all controlled products have an up-to-date (less than three years old) MSDS when it is being used on a client. The MSDSs must be readily available to the client if requested, who are exposed to the controlled product and to the health and safety committee or representative. If a controlled product is made or used by the Artisan, to be used on client, the Artisan has a duty to prepare an MSDS for any of these products.
We at iDitch have put together the MSDS information used by our Artisans. All Artisans have access to and are knowledgeable on how to use the MSDS chart, and forms, Artisans are advised to make a copy of the MSDS and MSDS forms available to the client or safety and health committee/representative upon request.

How to be On Time For Gigs Making Sure That Lateness and No-Shows Are not a Blemish on Your iDitch Tier Ratings.

BY: Grace Nelson (iDitch associate freelance contributor)

As an independent professional service provider, you should aim to be very reliable towards your clients in respect to appointments and time, Artisans who arrive on time for Gigs stand a better chance of referrals and second or multiple call backs. Your business is your life, as if you needed this reminder,… we at iDitch advise that you treat it as such, your source of income that keeps you afloat.
iDitch has a strict policy, when it comes to late arrivals for gigs and no-shows for Gigs…kindly refer to the Artisans Gig attendance policy.
We know things happens in life, so every arrival scenario is not expected to be without a hitch or two, know that you may encounter situations where you may violate the iDitch Gig attendance policies. Per adventure, this is about to happen to you with a booked Gig.
A) Kindly get in touch with iDitch immediately through instant messaging @ theiditchresourceteam informing us of whatever the true analysis is, that is constraining you from arriving on time or on point to the venue of the gig.
B)We in turn would reach out to the client, informing the client that you would be a little behind schedule.
C) This occurrence MUST not transpire more than once every 30 days.
D) You must be disciplined. Know your personal days schedule before agreeing to a booked gig. This is your job, take it seriously…

Tardy absentee Artisans can cost the Artisan money and cost iDitch a good name and money too… lateness to Gig venues can reduce service productivity, causing iDitch sometimes to pay the Artisan for time in which the Artisan didn’t perform work. In some cases, late Artisans may even claim to have arrived early for a gig when they did not.

Causing more service productivity problems.

Our remedy to this scenario is that once the gig timer is set by the Artisan with the consent of the client, before the gig starts, our system records the exact time the timer is set, evaluate it in comparison to the time the Artisan was supposed to have arrived at the gig venue.
It can be startling when you understand how much small increments of lost time can add up over the course of the year to the take home of the Artisan. Time is money they say. Take an example where an Artisan is consistently ten minutes late for a gig and worked twenty days per month all year. This could add up to 40 hours of pay for time not worked annually. Ultimately, the Artisan has lost a week of time that wasn’t spent creating value for their business.

Another result in the above example may include a negative impact to his/her very own personal morale, due to average, below average or dismal tier rating. Punctual Artisans on the other hand get rewarded by proactive tier rating, great feedbacks and accelerated financial growth and growth in the iDitch rating system.

Given the importance of an effective time and punctuality policy to an Artisans business, how can the Artisan help him/her self to do better and create a concrete and effective punctual routine or regimen?.

Create concrete personal time and punctuality rules.

iDitch often finds that it’s effective to institute a formal procedural time and punctuality policy as part of their overall HR guidelines for Artisans. Such a policy should address:
• Disciplining yourself “YOU ARE YOUR OWN BOSS”. Reevaluate your schedule and map out ways and procedures
that may assist you curb your chronic absenteeism
• How to notify iDitch in advance of lateness to a gig service or a no-show to a gig service.
• Document things, we at iDitch would send reminder messages to you informing you of Gig appointments… to give
you a heads up on preparation for appointment gigs, boost gigs and on-demand gigs. You should document these.
Take time to communicate very well with the client, in detail, the need to adhere to make a consensus appointment for the good of the you and your business and for the good of the client.
Having established personal procedures in place can help an Artisan manage their time very well while reducing the odds that a client will feel a Gig appointment are handled inconsistently or unfairly.

Address problematic lateness issues quickly with client.

Apologize For Your Lateness

Artisans who show up even a little late MUST firstly apologize for their lateness, you very well are hurting your service business more than you realize.
Address your lateness problem quickly, promising that if called back in the future, it would never happen again. Remain professional when explaining reasons for your Lateness to the client.Make it short, concise to the point. Consider offering the client a discount for for your lateness.
Proceed with starting the Gig with professionalism, when Gig is done and ratings and feedbacks are completed, we suggest you start by saying…”Again… I sincerely apologize for my lateness earlier, remember the customer is always right…
This gesture would definitely warm the heart ❤ of your client, and you may get a decent tip.

Do have a happy and productive gig…

Mosquito bites really look horrible on the face. Don’t they? There’s an easy way to get rid of them, just mix some coconut oil with any of your favorite essential oil and apply this on the insect bite. Repeat this after a few hours.

Natural Lip Scrubs

7 Amazing Beauty Recipes to Take Care of Chapped Lip
BY: Grace Nelson (iDitch associate freelance contributor)

Chapped or dry lips is a beauty problem we all dread But more than lip balms what can help you even more are lip scrubs They work effectively in removing chapped skin and giving you smooth lips.

Chapped or dry lips is something we all dread because not only does it look dreadful, it is painful as well. A common problem that occurs during winters due to the cold climate, it is a result of dryness. As such it becomes a compulsion to religiously apply lip balms to keep it moisturized and prevent the problem. However,  most commercial lip balms hardly live up to their promise of bringing instant relief, providing only short-lived solutions. Even the lip balms we carry in our hand bags give us a very temporary relief. But more than lip balms what can help you even more are lip scrubs. They work effectively in removing chapped skin and giving you smooth lips. So why not go for natural lip scrubs and get rid of this problem permanently? They will not only save you from buying extravagant products but also leave your lips beautiful. Here’s our list of favorites

1. Sugar Lip Scrub

It is one of the easiest things that can be made at home as it comprises only three ingredients: coconut oil, honey and brown sugar. The sugar acts as an exfoliating agent while the honey moisturizes after the sugar scrub removes the dead skin. It is a very efficient therapy for sore or chapped lips.

2. Coffee Scrub

The caffeine content in the coffee rejuvenates the lips making them flush with color and life. Though it might not leave a very nice after taste, it gives a intriguing effect. You can use a sweet balm for follow up. Mix a tablespoon of ground coffee and olive oil and gently apply on your lips. Leave it for five minutes and rinse it with water thereafter followed to make your lips softer.

3. Mint Lip Scrub

In case you don’t like the fragrance or the taste of coffee you can go for the mint lip scrub, which also helps in reviving the lips. The addition of peppermint does wonders to dry and chapped lips.

Your lips will feel soft and plump.

4. Coco Lip Scrub

This scrub adds moisture to the lips and comes very expensive at the stores. But you can make it at your home using only two ingredients. You need one teaspoon of coconut oil and sea salt.
Mix them together and rub it on your lips in circular motion. Do it daily to get better pouts and red lips.

5. Lemonade Lip Scrub

Since there is lemon in the scrub, it turns out to be very refreshing as well as effective especially in the summers. The Vitamin C presence in the scrub performs its wonders. The lemon juice acts as cleanser and kills the bacteria on the lips.

6. Honey, Lemon and Sugar Lip Scrub

This combination gives benefits of three supreme ingredients for healthy lips. Honey is a powerhouse of antioxidants and lemon provides the necessary vitamins. Besides exfoliating, this scrub also acts as a moisturizer for the lips.

7. Honey Lip Scrub

This scrub is a combination of honey, baking soda and olive oil. The sweetness of honey takes care of the icky flavor the baking soda and exfoliates the lips beautifully. Rub the mixture of baking soda, honey and few drops of olive oil gently on your lips and further rinse with warm water. It will help in removing the dead cells.

But it is not an overnight miracle.

Luckily, we have a great associate in Grace, to give our clients a make face-care easy

10 Dos and Don’ts for Beautiful Skin

1. The Golden Rule

Do: Make sure you always (and we mean always) remove your make-up before hitting the sheets. The skin needs to breathe overnight. And makeup prevents that, as leaving it on overnight clogs the pores which may cause blemishes and/or blackheads. Don’t possess a makeup remover? Just put some olive oil on a cotton pad and gently massage the oil onto your face to get rid of the makeup and dirt.

Don’t: Forget that exfoliation is indispensable. At least once or twice a week, exfoliate your skin to remove the layers of dead skin, sure to leave you with a more healthy glow and brighter skin.

You can also apply a paste of walnut in powder form with yogurt to exfoliate your skin, as the antioxidants present in walnuts help remove dirt and promote radiant skin.

Never forget to exfoliate your skin and remove the makeup before calling it a night.

 2. Sun and Skin

Do: Apply sunscreen with SPF of at least 15 that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Since a lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems, you have to protect your skin from the sun. Make sure the label reads ‘noncomedogenic’ or ‘nonacnegenic’ so that the product does not tend to block pores.

Don’t Skip the sunscreen, whether it’s cloudy or cold outside (no excuses). If you’re heading to a beach or around reflective surfaces like snow or ice, lather your skin up with some more sunscreen with SPF of at least 30.

Sunscreen with SPF of at least 15 that blocks both UVA and UVB rays.

3. You are What You Eat

Do: Keep a note of what you put on your plate. Eat fresh fruits, greens, sufficient protein and vitamins. A diet rich in vitamin C and low in fats and sugar promotes radiant skin. Consider a low-sugar diet, which can keep insulin levels down, allowing cells to maintain a healthy balance.
“Don’t Eat spicy and fermented foods, salt, citrus fruits, fried food. Instead favor blander foods such as rice, oatmeal and applesauce”, advises American author and Ayurvedic physician, Vasant Lad, in The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies.

Fresh fruits and greens is what healthy skin needs.

4. Sweat It Out!

Do: Exercise regularly. Running, jogging and yoga will give your body the necessary blood circulation, and also accelerate the cleansing process of your entire body. You will notice a glow on your face after working out. Racing against time? Just take a brisk walk around the block.

Don’t Skip skincare before and after a workout. Apply a toner to help minimize oil production before heading out. Exfoliate after, and then apply shea butter or olive oil to moisturize the skin.

Running, jogging and yoga will accelerate the cleaning process of your body.

5. Beauty Sleep

Do: Try to sleep at least 8 hours every night. If you don’t get enough shut eye, your skin gets tired just like you – it sags and you get bags. So don’t risk it. You can also apply honey on your face twice or thrice a week to naturally soothe and heal your skin. “Don’t Forget to wash and moisturize your face before going to bed”, recommends Dr. Rahul Nagar, Dermatologist, Max Hospitals. “For dry skin, use milder cleansers that are free from alcohol. Apply lots of moisturizer, and avoid hot water as it dries out the skin excessively.”

Never forget to wash your face before sleeping and moisturize well.

6. H2O to The Rescue

Do Hydrate yourself. Drink lots of water daily, at least 8 glasses if not more. Also, eats fruits and vegetables that have a high water content such as watermelon, cucumber, orange, strawberry, grapefruit and cantaloupe. Physician, Vasant Lad recommends to “drink water from a blue colored bottle”, since it has a cooling effect.

Don’t: Ignore rose water. It helps prevent and reduce eye puffiness in the morning, maintains pH balance and naturally hydrates your skin if you spritz it on during the day.

Rose water maintains pH balance and naturally hydrates the skin.

7. Goodbye Acne

“Do: Wash your face with warm water, three times a day, and gently massage your face in circular motions, ensuring that the cleanser contains alpha hydroxyl acid or beta hydroxyl acid. Face packs that contain multani mitti (fuller’s earth) work really well too.
After cleansing, pat dry and apply a lotion which contains benzoyl peroxide”, suggests Dr. Michael Smith, Dermatologist, Max Hospitals. Benzoyl peroxide appears to be effective due to its antibacterial actions.
Don’t Pop pimples because it can lead to more swelling, redness, and even scarring. Feel a pimple is on its way? Just clean the area with rose water, and place a chilled green tea bag for 10 minutes. Also, if you wear glasses or sunglasses, make sure you clean them frequently to keep oil from clogging the pores around your eyes and nose.

Never pop your pimples. Use rose water or chilled green tea bags.

8. Go Back to Your Roots

Do: Use Ayurvedic scrubs to nourish the skin, and help it breathe better. Luckily for you, everything you need is already in your kitchen. 2 tbsp chickpea flour, ½ tsp turmeric powder, a pinch of camphor and sandalwood with some rose water/milk/water is your perfect skincare pack. Yes, the secrets of beauty lies in ancient Ayurveda.

Don’t: Neglect the basics. Make Sudarshan Kriya your beauty mantra. Yes, it’s that easy. Just breathing right could rid you of spots and pimples. Nidhi Gureja, Art of Living, says “Sudarshan Kriya is a breathing technique which incorporates specific natural rhythms of the breath that harmonize the body, mind and emotions. This helps releasing accumulated stresses, and each individual’s experience is different.”

Sudarshan Kriya is a breathing technique which incorporates specific natural rhythms that helps in releasing accumulated stresses.

9. Spa Day Everyday

Do Have a regular facial care regimen. “For dry skin, use a fresh cherry mask. Apply the pulp of fresh cherries on your face before going to bed. Leave for 15 minutes and wash with lukewarm water”, adds American author Vasant Lad. Don’t Forget to pamper yourself. A gentle facial massage with oils could work wonders. Depending on your skin type, choose oils from mustard, coconut, almond as they are excellent nourishing agents which help to get glowing skin. Better still – switch on some soothing instrumental music. After 20 minutes, what do you have?

Beautiful skin and a relaxed you. Pamper yourself occasionally with spa treatments.

10. Healthy Habits

Do Take out time for yourself, and try to avoid stress as much as possible. Have you ever noticed that when you are stressed, you tend to break out more? This is because stress causes your body to produce cortisol and other hormones, making the skin more oily. Practice stress management techniques like breathing exercises, yoga and meditation. The more you meditate, the more you radiate.
Don’t Neglect your jawline and facial muscles. For just 5 minutes a day, perform a few facial exercises. You can jut out your lower lip in such a way that wrinkles are created on the chin, then lower your chin to your chest. Another exercise that works wonders is to look up towards the ceiling and pout. It stretches out the muscles making the skin more firm. “18 till I die”, why not?

The more you meditate, the more you radiate.

You’re dressed to perfection, yet you need something to complete the look. Your smile! While we spend so much time and energy on honing our bodies and looks, we forget to express our inner joy and happiness. “Keeping a smile on your face will help maintain the tone of your facial muscles and skin. People may say you look 10 years younger than you are!”, adds our iDitch Associate contributor…

Many men nowadays are consciously worried about their skin, Oily skin is a problem which is faced by many men
across this city and around the world. Here are some great oil free recipes to give you that clean, clear, masculine,
sexy facial skin.

I do not know that many men who are not consciously worried about their skin, especially here in NYC. Men are beginning to spend as much money and time on their skin as women do.

Facial are done on men in cities around the world as much as women had facials done.

iDitch Artisans that are trained and specialized in performing deep cleansing facials are available in your area,. Just click on this link……….(Download Android App…….Download iOS App) and download the iDitchApp.

I am personally appalled when I see men not worried about acne on their face or having oily skin. It’s worse if they suffer from bad body odor or dandruff and yet do very less to address the issue at hand.

Oily skin is a common problem which is faced by millions of men in this country, in Canada and across the globe. Again, I have personally observed that the major problem that men have is in using the wrong product for the wrong type of skin.
So for those of who are going through these issues, here are some great oil free recipes to get clean, clear skin, reduce oiliness and pimples, if you have them, and even reduce the visibility of pimple scars! Be assured that there’s always a solution, or product for the most of Men’s facial problems.

Here are some wonderful natural solutions, all you have to do is follow them diligently

1. To Reduce Excess Oil Ingredients:
200ml of rose water 2tsp of powdered camphor Method: Mix well and store in an air tight bottle and keep in the
fridge. This can be used to wipe the skin 3-4 times a day. Not only does it reduce oiliness and bacterial build up on the skin, it also helps reduce chances of skin infections, itchiness and tones the skin making the skin less prone to pimples.

2. Acne Pack for MenFor those young men who have an irritating habit of pinching and squeezing pimples keep your fingers away and make the following mask instead –

4 Tbsp fuller’s earth
1/2 tsp camphor
2 tsp mint paste
2 cloves (latex), ground
Rose water to mix
1 tsp sandalwood powder
Method:Mix all the ingredients to a smooth consistency and apply the required amount onto the skin. Let it dry completely and wash off with water and pat dry. This pack should be used daily and can be kept in an air tight jar in the fridge up to 10 days.

3. Exfoliator for Oily Skin to Dislodge Blackheads and Whiteheads Many of us don’t clean our skin properly and as a result, we give way to blackheads and whiteheads. This leads to acne and pimples and can be an absolute disaster for all you good looking men who dream of clean and clear skin. The key point is to keep your skin clean and I know not all of you want to smell of roses and sandalwood, so here’s fabulous scrub for clarifying the skin –

4 Tbsp orange peel powder
4 Tbsp lemon peel powder
50gm china clay
A handful of dried neem leaf powder
5 Tbsp rice powder

Mix all the dry ingredients and store in a jar. Take a teaspoon at a time and mix with mint water and apply all over the skin .When it is semi dry, dab with water and scrub. This will help dislodge blackheads and whiteheads and make your skin super clean and oil free.

4. Basic Skincare Rules to Follow
• Above all, basic rules to a clean and good looking skin are as follows-
• Water: Have 10-12 glasses of water daily, it’s a must!
Reduce alcohol intake. If you thought beer is cooling, it’s only so for the mouth.
• Watch Your Diet: Eating fresh salads and fruits should be on the top of your list. Cool drinks like, lime water and coconut water should be part of your daily intake. Avoid heavy gravy and fried foods, as well as aerated drinks and soda.
• Clothing: Wear loose natural fibers like cotton, jute, etc. These are the best summer clothing as they are airy and
• Exercise: If you are prone to oily skin, increase your blood circulation and detox by exercising. Do remember to shower at least twice a day.

• Metabolism:

Many of you may not know this but skin and acne are directly related to the stomach. If you suffer from a sluggish
metabolism and have constipation then you will most probably suffer from acne and pimples. Eat green vegetables
and lots of fruits to clear out your system.

Also if you have dandruff, many times you will also suffer from acne. Therefore it is important to treat the dandruff first and then look at clearing the skin.
So now that you have the basics all worked out and natural recipes that are sure to work like magic, I think the next time you are going out with that special lady in your life she’s bound to be impressed. More importantly, looking good will also make you feel good and confident.

10 Ingredients in Beauty Products You

Must Know About
Temitope ADE MD.(Dermatologist, Medical writer extraordinaire iDitch)

Top ingredients of the season that every beauty aficionado needs to know Elastin is a protein found in any elastic connective tissue in the body AHAs are best for normal-to-dry or sun-damaged skin As we enter the new year, it is time to give your skin some much needed tender-loving-care after the festive season. When scouting for the perfect damage repair products, you may have come across certain terms on the label that leave you baffled.

While on the look-out for creams and serums to help your skin detox, it’s important to know about some ingredients and also understand what do they really do. Here are some important ingredients found in most products that every beauty aficionado needs to know about.

1) Collagen: Collagen is a protein produced by our cells that helps “hold” the skin together. Collagen keeps the skin looking younger and giving it firmness and elasticity. When we are young, our skin stays plump and smooth because it constantly regenerates itself.

But as we age, collagen production slows – and existing collagen can get damaged due to sun exposure and unhealthy skin habits.
This results in wrinkles and sagging skin. Collagen infused products help smoothen the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

2) Elastin:
Another protein present in the skin which is as important as collagen, Elastin is a protein found in any elastic connective tissue in the body. It is responsible for the ability of the skin to resume original shape after being stretched. The proportion of Elastin in the skin usually peeks in adolescence or early adulthood and declines thereafter. Beauty products with Elastin restores the skins with its natural firmness and bounce.

3) Hyaluronic Acid:
As body collagen declines, the appearance of wrinkles and discoloration becomes more visible. Maximizing collagen levels will keep your skin supple. Hyaluronic acid keeps collagen synthesis up and helps retain skin moisture.

4) Glycolic acid:
Derived from cane sugar, glycolic acid has the smallest molecules in the AHA group. This property ensures that it penetrates the skin deeply and easily, making it the most effective ingredient for treating fine lines, acne, blackheads, dullness and oiliness.

5) Salicylic Acid:
While salicylic acid lotions are not for everyone, they can benefit many skin types when used appropriately. When applied, the lotion causes the uppermost layer of skin to swell, soften and then peel, removing dead skin cells leaving you with fresh, bright skin.

6) Niacinamide:
This component of vitamin B3 has been shown to increase ceramide and free fatty acid levels in skin, thereby preventing skin from losing water content and stimulating microcirculation in the dermis. It also has a growing reputation for being able to lighten skin discolorations and reduce acne.

7) Retinol:
Simply put, it helps your skin produce better, healthier skin cells while increasing the amount of skin-support substances. It has been shown to increase the skin’s collagen production and glycosaminoglycan content, resulting in firmer skin with an improved texture and enhanced barrier function.

8) AHA and BHA
AHAs are best for normal-to-dry or sun-damaged skin because they help bind moisture and improve healthy collagen production and smooth an uneven skin texture. BHA is best for normal-to-oily or breakout-prone skin while also being excellent for reducing redness from rosacea.

9) Resveratrol:
Like any antioxidant, resveratrol has incredible protective benefits for the skin. When applied topically, resveratrol protects against sun damage, improves collagen synthesis and reduces cell damage.

10) Curcuminoids
Found in the spice turmeric, it has potent anti inflammatory properties, both internally and externally. It also works to suppress excess melanin production in the presence of sunlight and will help reduce chronic inflammation, irritation and sun damage that makes your skin look dull.

iDitch Facial Tips

Is it Really Beneficial & How Often Should You Get Them
BY: Grace Nelson (iDitch associate freelance contributor)

Most adults, men and women, start paying attention to their facial skin and hair only when it comes to attending a special occasion such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, reunions and other parties. I think women especially go out of their way in their beauty regime to look their best, addressing every little beauty issue to be able to flaunt a flawless facial skin. But, what happens to our facial skin for the rest of the year? Most often, due to lack of time, we tend to ignore the basic skin care practices and think it is alright to do so.

When it comes to the basics of facial skin care, some people are apprehensive in getting a facial done. What are the benefits and what should one look out for? When should one get a facial done? These are some questions which trouble many a mind. But in today’s time, with pollution and stress levels hitting the roof, it often results in lackluster skin and its degeneration. This is why it is all the more important to pay attention to your facial skin and
take care of it.

Facials should not be treated as something you do once in a while or during special occasions. They should be a regular part of your beauty regimen. Yes, it is true that what you need in your twenties is nowhere near what you may need in your forties or fifties; nevertheless a facial is important at both ages.

What is a Basic Facial?

An iDitch basic facial consist of cleaning, cleansing, toning and moisturizing. This is done with cleansers, gels and face washes. It is followed by moisturizing the facial skin according to your skin and age type, and finishing off with a clarifying mask.
As you get older the skin tends to look tired and sluggish.
Therefore, to avoid this, exfoliators and dermabrasive creams are used. High protein and vitamin emulsifiers are also used with exfoliates and tightening masks that help improve elasticity and give the skin a youthful appearance.
Most adults in their twenties should follow a daily skin care routine and a visit to the skin clinic once every 40days for a cleaning and moisturizing program. If you are in your 30’s or 40’s, once a month visit is a must, provided your skin care discipline at home is carefully worked out.
A good iDitch Facial massage is essential to improve blood circulation and nourish the facial skin. See to it that blackheads and whiteheads are cleaned out. Exfoliation should be done with grains that are suitable to your skin type and scrub very gently.
You should ensure that your iDitch Artisan through whom you get your facial done should not use harsh strokes on the facial skin.
When it comes to applying masks, I have very often noticed that professionals who have been trained for years fail to get it right.
Firstly, the mask should cover wrinkle prone areas of the skin like the neck, forehead and the eye area. Secondly, the mask should always be removed in upward strokes after wetting it.

If you are in your late 40’s or 50’s, the skin therapist’s appointment should be considered as important as a doctor’s
appointment. You cannot afford to be laid back on this one especially in a time where toxins and pollutants are daily enemies of the body and skin and do more damage than can be possibly seen by the human eye. Regular facials are a must and remember that if you have an important occasion to attend, the actual impact of a facial will happen at least two days after you have done it.
For those who are considering the quickies like botox and fillers for that perfect look, my take on this is that they definitely have a tremendous impact on the skin and make you look super.
However, as the injectables are used repeatedly the skin tends to age faster and starts giving the skin a haggard look. I have seen many people’s face change and age much sooner than it would have if they had gone for natural treatments.

Few Tips on How to Make the Most of Facials

1. Let your skin breathe after a facial treatment.

2. Never start to apply make-up after a facial. Your pores have just been cleaned and require oxygen, so do not clog them

3. Try and take a nap after a facial and avoid rushing back to work or taking up stressful activities. The facial tissues have been relaxed so let them be that way for sometime.

4. Try and drink some green tea or warm lime water and honey as the pressure points have been activated on the skin. They will help improve metabolism, relax the body as well as detoxify it.

5. Avoid having a bath with too cold or too hot water. Luke warm water bath is recommended after a facial

6. Never visit a crowded or high pollution area after your skin

7. Above all be kind to your skin, it deserves it….l

Success stories from iDitch User Members

Jane a part time make up artist and a part time student, experimented on her little sister as she grew older and used her as a canvas in practicing make up….

I am Jane, is my iDitch story

The suburbs of Toledo Ohio, Bowling Green with its pristine streets, and manicured lawns was a far cry from the inner cities of Columbus or Cleveland.

I always loved painting, when I was a student in Bowling Green High School, All I did was experiment on the faces of my fellow classmates especially when there was a football game coming around,(GO Bowling Green KY Football).
I made enough money doing make-up for friends and family, to shop at the Bee Gee shopping center each weekend, and even got my very own cell phone and paid my cell phone bills each month.

This was when I knew I could do this for a living,…I started searching online on how I could get certified as a make-up Artist in my home state of Ohio. Found a cosmetology school not too far from home, I was still in High School at this moment, a Senior prepping for college and at the same time going to beauty school.

My parents were both encouraging, they always taught us to go for our goals, and to believe in ourselves….
I graduated after a grueling nine months in beauty school, with my cosmetologist license, it was a very happy day for me. I had also graduated from high school, and here I was, about to go to college and with a beauty certificate that I could make a living with…

I had a great summer vacation before college started at the Bowling Green State University, I was accepted to study international Studies. I studied real hard and graduated two years later with a 3.5GPA with an associate Degree.
Things were looking real good, I decided to take a year off, to clear my mind, and evaluate all the options that I had, I was contemplating on moving to a big city, maybe move east to NYC, or move west to Los Angeles….
After six months of fun, I decided to move to NYC, It was an experience that I would never forget, a small town girl moving to a big city like New York…

I arrived in NYC, with such zeal and drive to succeed…

I got a job at a restaurant working as a waitress, while I registered at Pace University and polished my MUA skills by doing make-up for fellow co-workers and classmates at school….I love ❤ waitressing, so it never bothered me that I was not working officially in a salon as a make-up artist.
After residing in NYC for two years, I felt it was time to either get a 9-5, since I had just graduated from Pace U, or get busy with my MUA career, I chose beauty!.
Ever since, it has been an exhilarating ride, I have worked in small shops with just the two of us, medium make-up shops in Manhattan with 6 of us and I have worked in high end, high class make-up shops, still, I felt a void in me…..I was not content with my how I managed my time and how I was working long hours, and paying a significant portion of my earnings to the the store owner…it was disheartening, to work long hours and sometimes give up as much as 35 to 40 percent of my earnings to the store owner or for renting seats or chairs.
So, I decided to go online and search for companies or apps that suited my very essential needs, fluid time to choose when to work, less out of pocket money going to the platform/store/chair or seat owners. Statistics to showcase how good an Artisan is doing compared to the highest grossing MUA’s within their circle ⭕ , or vicinity.

Assistance with advertising and extensive visibility to showcase the Artisan # on other sister platforms, and partners,…the list goes on and on After a very rigorous search, I chose the iDitch App,..
Registration was easy, I was done registering in less than 10 Minutes, the vetting process was assuring, that iDitch cared about their clients and Artisans safety and I started taking in Gigs (work) about 1 hour after I registered. I was tentatively approved, and everything worked like clockwork.

I would like to categorically state that I had registered on some other Apps previously, but after 4 weeks of working on the iDitch app, the experience was a million times better than any other app company I had worked with and I was and still honestly elated with the decision that I took.

I make way more money, even more that I would be making if I were working with my degree. Everything about iDitch just suits me perfectly, recently I upgraded my account to the iDitch Prime Account, which is an account that is by invitation only.

Everything has been working out for the better, and just 7 months ago, I got engaged to my boyfriend and our wedding is planned for summer next year, and guess what, I would have all iDitch Artisans doing all the Beautification and men’s grooming for the occasion.

It has been such a life changing experience and I look forward to ever better things to happen in the nearest future with me working with iDitch…I had to write this short note to you my fellow iDitch User Member friends, to let you know that all is well that ends well….

Follow your dreams, work hard at it and one would definitely reap the fruits of ones labour.
Comments and feedbacks are welcome…
iDitch Artisan.

Do iDitch Artisans Get A 1099?

iDitch Artisans are described as self-employed “Associate” and fall under 1099 tax rules. For artisan services, this falls under 1099-K rules and any other payouts would land under the 1099-MISC rules. These other payouts could include, bonuses and more. You can check out your needed Artisan tax information by logging into your iDitch associate portal.

How Do iDitch Artisans Pay Taxes

iDitch classifies its Artisans as independent contractors. An independent contractor is a non-employee who is running their own business. iDitch DOES NOT provide you with any employee benefits like health insurance or vacation. It also DOES NOT withhold any taxes from your compensation.
Every year, iDitch will file IRS Form 1099-MISC and/or 1099-K with the IRS and your state tax agency reporting how much it paid you. This applies if you were paid over $600 during the year.
You need to report this income on your tax return and pay income tax and self-employment tax (Social Security and Medicare tax) on the net profit you earn from gigs done on the iDitch platform.
Of course, you can deduct certain business expenses.

For Canadian iDitch Artisans Kindly click on the link below

Do You Have To Report iDitch Income?

For the majority of you, the answer is “yes.” If your net earnings from iDitch exceeds $400, you must report that income. You will be required to file a Form 1040 and attach Schedule C and Schedule SE to report your iDitch income.
If you’re not required to file an income tax return and your net earnings from iDitch are less than $400, you ARE NOT required to report your iDitch income.

I’m An iDitch Artisan. What Taxes Do I Pay?

Let’s say you are a sole proprietor. It’s how the vast majority of self-employed people, including iDitch Artisans, operate their businesses.
When you’re a sole proprietor, you and your business are one and the same for tax purposes. You don’t pay taxes or file tax returns separately for your sole proprietorship. Instead, you report the income you earn on your own personal tax return, IRS Form 1040.
To show whether you have a profit or loss from your sole proprietorship, you file IRS Schedule C, Profit or Loss From
Business, with your return. On this form you list all your business income and deductible expenses. You only pay tax on the profit you have left after you subtract all your expenses from your business income.
When you’re a sole proprietor, you must pay self-employment taxes on your net income. You have to also pay your income taxes, too. This is so even though you are of retirement age.
Self-employment taxes are the Social Security and Medicare taxes sole proprietors pay. When you’re an independent contractor, you have to pay all your Social Security and Medicare taxes out of your own pocket.
iDitch would not pay half of them for you (employers must pay half of these taxes for their employees, but not for contractors). These taxes are substantial: a flat 15.3 percent tax on your first $118,500 in net self-employment income (in 2015). You file IRS Form SE with your tax return to report and pay these taxes.

What Expenses Can iDitch Artisans Deduct?

It’s very important for you to keep track of all the deductible expenses you incur throughout the year, since they will decrease the amount of profit you’ll have to pay tax on.
Since your business is a specialty business with tools, your biggest deduction will be your tools expenses. You can deduct these one way: You can deduct your actual expenses like repairs and services of your tools or equipments, depreciation, lease expenses if you lease any equipments or tools, etc.
Whatever method you use, it is vital that you keep track of your business records. You can use a record or book keeping app or an old fashioned paper log, which requires quite a bit of manual work.

iDitch Artisans Tax Checklist: A List Of Deductions Not To Miss

Other deductions for an iDitch Artisan would typically include:

• The cost of your iPhone or other cell phone (100 percent deductible if you use it just for business, otherwise you can deduct the business use percentage)
• Any extra insurance coverage you obtain for your business
• Fees and commissions iDitch charges you (however, don’t deduct any fees iDitch takes directly from your pay and
DOES NOT include in the compensation listed on your 1099 form)
• Home Office Deduction: You can qualify for this valuable deduction if you use a portion of your home exclusively for record keeping and other administrative tasks for your business
• Parking fees and toll fees
• Interest on a car loan, if you use the car for personal and business use, the business use percentage is deductible on Schedule C
• PayPal and/or credit card transaction fees you pay.(iDitch clients only)
You need to keep track of all of these and any other expenses you incur for your business. There are many accounting and tax preparation apps and software you can use to keep track of your expenses. You can even prepare your tax return yourself.

Do iDitch Artisans Need to Pay Estimated Taxes?

Self-employed people are not allowed to wait until April 15 to pay all the income and self-employment (Social Security and Medicare) taxes they owe for the prior year. Instead, they are required to prepay their taxes by making estimated tax payments to the IRS four times per year.
You must pay estimated taxes if you expect to owe at least $1,000 in federal tax for the year from your business as an Artisan. You’ll probably need to earn a profit of at least $5,000 or $6,000 from your business to owe this much tax.
The IRS imposes modest interest penalties if you don’t pay enough estimated tax. To avoid the penalties, you must pay at least the smaller of:
• 90 percent of your total tax due for the current year 100 percent of the tax you paid the previous year or 110 percent if you’re a high-income taxpayer.
High-income taxpayers—those with adjusted gross income of more than $150,000 ($75,000 for married couples filing separate returns)—must pay 110 percent of their prior year’s income tax.

Quarterly Tax Payment Due Dates

Estimated tax must ordinarily be paid in four installments: April 15, June 15, September 15, January 15 (of the following year).
Remember, you don’t have to start making payments until you actually earn income.
If you don’t receive any income by March 31, you can skip the April 15 payment. In this event, you’d ordinarily make three payments for the year starting on June 15. If you don’t receive any income by May 31, you can skip the June 15 payment as well and so on.

When am I paid each week?

iDitch calculates payments once a gig is finished successfully. Our payment processing period are only done during week days. That means if a gig is concluded successfully on a Saturday, or a Sunday, the gig would not be processed until on Monday and the Artisans compensation would be available to the Artisan the following Wednesday, after 5:00pm (eastern standard time). This means any gig activated and concluded successfully, on Monday after 5:00pm (eastern standard time) compensation will appear in the same week’s payment statement on a Thursday. Payments are made once every 3 business days.

Monday: Old payment cycle ends and new one begins
Tuesday: Artisans statements are added to invoices

Customer-service skills. Artisans must be pleasant, friendly, and able to interact with clients in order to retain a robust client base.
Listening skills. Barbers, hairdressers, Aestheticians and cosmetologists should be good listeners. They must listen carefully to what the client wants in order to make sure that the client is happy with the gig result.
Physical stamina. Barbers, hairdressers, and cosmetologists must be able to stand on their feet for long periods.
Tidiness. Workers must keep a neat personal appearance and keep their work area clean and sanitary. This requirement is necessary for the health and safety of their clients and for making clients comfortable enough so that they will want to have return Gig with the Artisan in the future Time-management skills. Time-management skills are important in scheduling Gig appointments and providing specialty services. For example, routine haircuts do not require the precise timing of some other services, such as applying neutralizers after a permanent wave. Clients who receive timely hair care are more likely to have return Gigs with the same Artisan.

We at iDitch want our services to be enjoyable, interesting and safe for our community User members. These regulatory rules are designed to ensure that our registered user members get a five star rating and an experience
of a lifetime when using the iDitch App. Kindly take a moment to read through these guidelines. They would definitely come in handy someday in whatever capacity you are in.Because whether you’re an artisan or a client
— your decorum matters.

Treat your fellow artisans and customers as you would like to be treated yourself: with respect, It’s common courtesy not to shout or swear around a client or an artisan. For artisans, kindly tidy and clean up after yourself —
whether it’s taking the dirt made during the process of doing a gig service or cleaning up a spilled liquid residue left after a gig is done. This is important, if the customer offers to do the cleaning, insist on doing the cleaning yourself, because it showcases how important you hold your profession in high esteem — Most important of all, remember that when you use the iDitch App and other iDitch services, you will meet people who may look different or think differently from you. Please respect those  differences. We want our registered members to feel welcome and
inclusive when they use our services.

We all value our personal space and privacy. It’s OK to chat with the artisan (service provider), and vice versa, during the process when the gig is in process. But please DO NOT comment on someone’s appearance or ask
whether they are single. As an artisan and a customer, we advice that you refrain from using your phone or mobile device, when at the venue of the gig. If you need to make an emergency phone call, ask, as a courtesy of your client, keep the call short in minutes and be as audible as possible, so the client would feel at ease, and respect their decision if they decline.
Remember you are there to do a gig and depart. And don’t touch the client or artisan in a flirtatious way. As a reminder, in our by laws, iDitch has a no sex rule. That’s no sexual conduct between Artisans and Clients, come
what may.

Everyone values their safety. So please ensure that you follow the local laws. You are in someone else’s domain to perform a service. Make sure that the gig is done with ease and you depart in Peace. Kindly Check out our Remain Safe while Servicing iDitch Customers, ARTISANS ONLY, and the Remain Safe while Serviced by iDitch Artisans.

Children must be supervised. Only adults can have an iDitch account and become a registered member. If your child is the Customer that needs the iDitch services, a parent or guardian must be present with the child at all times, during the process of the gig being performed.

Feedback and great compliments makes us all feel good. Whether you are an artisan or a client, kindly rate the service gig, as a Client and/or an artisan at the end of a successful gig. Honest feedback helps ensure that everyone is accountable for their behaviors. This accountability creates a respectful, safe environment for both artisans and Clients. And if something happens during the process of a gig — whether it’s the customers fault or the artisans fault, or an argument — make sure to report it by clicking the “HELP” Button in the iDitch app so that our customer support help team can follow up.
The guidelines below helps explain some of the specific kinds of behaviors that may cause you to lose access to the iDitch app and your account may be de-activated and/or terminated.

These policies helps explain the kinds of behaviors that may lead registered members to have their accounts deactivated. Kindly remember that your good behavior is paramount when a gig is in process, do not allow any external behavior or influence to get you off track. iDitch does not allow the consumption of any alcoholic beverages during the gig process.

The way you behave while using the iDitch App can have a big impact on the safety and comfort of both the artisan and the Client, as well as the brand name iDitch. Courtesy matters. That’s why you are expected to exercise good judgment and behave decently towards other people during the gig process, courtesy takes you far.
Here are some reasons why your iDitch User Membership may be deactivated:
• Damaging ‘registered members’ property. For example, intentionally scarring a customer , breaking or vandalizing a phone, intentionally spilling food or drink, smoking, or vomiting due to excessive alcohol consumption, using foul language, smelly dirty clothes, unsanitary location, location not readily prepped for gig, stealing from Clients/
Artisans. Etc…
• Physical contact with the artisan and clients . As our Community Guidelines make clear, you shouldn’t touch or flirt with other registered user members. As a reminder, iDitch has a no sex rule.
That’s no sexual conduct with fellow fellow registered members, no matter what. And you should never hit or otherwise hurt a fellow registered member.
• Use of inappropriate and abusive language or gestures. For example, asking overly personal questions, using verbal threats, and making comments or gestures that are aggressive, sexual, discriminatory, or
• Unwanted contact with the artisan/client during a gig or after the gig is over. For example, texting, calling, or visiting someone in person after a gig has been completed.
• Breaking the local law while using the iDitch app. For example, bringing open containers of alcohol or drugs along to a gig service; or using the iDitch app to commit a crime, including and not limited to the sexual exploitation of children.
If we are made aware of these kinds of problematic behaviors, we will contact you so we can investigate them. Depending on the nature of the concern, we may put a hold on your account during our investigation. If the issues raised are serious or a repeat offense, or you refuse to cooperate, you may lose access to the iDitch app. Any behaviors involving violence, sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or illegal activity while using the iDitch app or any of our services can result in the immediate loss of access to your account, and The iDitch Technologies Inc, notifying the appropriate law enforcement department.

Make extra money on the iDitch portal when you are an iDitch Artisan or an iDitch Client.

Here is how it works. You, MISS Jane Doe tells people about iDitch, and the iDitch App and When anybody registers on iDitch using your referral code, either as a Client or as an Artisan, you Miss JANE DOE, gets ($1.00USD) of the total amount paid on the Gig. Anytime the Artisan or Client that you referred is associated with a gig.
When two individuals that you referred, are the two parties involved in a gig as the Artisan and Client respectively, the amount payable for the referral remains $1.00USD The iDitch Technologies Inc, will disburse the payment for the referral once every seven (7) days, after the first gig service has been either rendered or ordered.
These payments would remain constant and in place, for the duration of the iDitch Artisan and/or iDitch Client, pending a time when the aforementioned individual terminates their account or their account is terminated by iDitch.
So, in essence, when one refers 500 iDitch Artisans and/or Clients to iDitch, and these Artisans and Clients engage in Gigs services, you would receive $1.00USD for each gig, all 500 of them performed and finished. Now that’s some money in your pocket…

How to maintain a five star rating with a top rated tier on the iDitch Plataform

In order for an Artisan to offer a 5 Star Rating and Review experience with iDitch clients and on the iDitch platform, Artisans MUST maintain high standards of expertise in their craft and quality of good work done. Many U.S. states and Canada offer quality refresher improvement courses for Artisans, in whatever field the Artisan may belong. Courses offers vary by provider institutions , and may require classroom attendance or practical sessions. We advise our Artisans that from time to time, these refresher courses could be beneficial towards the constant growth of an Artisans skill level in their field.
Contact your iDitch help email for referral to an institution in your state that may be of assistance.

When Your Artisan account is not opened and left dormant, without use.
Periodically, the iDitch systems scans through accounts that are dormant, or with single or low star rating and review, and/or low tier placements. We deactivate these accounts that have been in such states for more than 30
consecutive days.
We at iDitch expect the best from our Artisans. We have provided the platform, and some tools to enable Artisans reach their performance peak.
If you want to learn more about providing customers with a 5 Star experience or have been notified that recent low ratings or inactivity puts your iDitch account at risk, you can voluntarily sign up for an expertise and quality improvement course from the iDitch courses here.

If you have been deactivated for a low overall rating, for 30 days plus consecutive inactivity, and below average tier ratings, you would be suspended for 30 days, your account may be eligible for reactivation upon successful completion of expertise and quality improvement courses, which takes only 7 days to accomplish.
Please check out the link below for information on the two expertise and quality improvement courses available on our platform for Artisans residing in the United States of America and Canada. These courses are named
A) The 5 Star Project and
B) Master your trade
Upon successful completion of these courses, You may now reapply to become a registered Artisan or Client on the iDitch platform.
An Artisan or Client may only be reactivated 3 times, by the 4th request for reactivation, the account would be totally blocked from our system.

Everything You Need to Know

Everything You Need to Know about Booth Rental as an Artisan Compared to the iDitch Model.

According to Professional Consultants and Resources, a strategic consulting company and salon industry data source in the U.S., the booth rental and chain salon business model in the United States of America and Canada continues to consistently beat out independent salons in terms of market share, with booth rental salon stylists now constituting a major “large chunk of the market.”
The time we at iDitch Technologies INC. believe is ripe for a change in the beauty and men’s grooming industry from the usual way of doing business, to a more fluid, seamless, cost saving system that puts more money in the pockets of the Artisan in this technology age, than for the beauty shop owner, who indirectly still has some control over the Artisan in some way or the other.
Since the odds are that your cosmetology career, at some point, will include working in the booth rental business model, it is important to understand the booth rental concept as compared with the iDitch compensation model and what it means to you and your business as an independent contractor.
Booth rental means you own your own business, right… somewhat. You are your own boss, maybe….you are, or really maybe not, which means there is no one looking over your shoulder, not constantly, to an extent telling you how to run your business or treat your clients, (this is debatable). Although this may sound appealing, bear in mind that this type of business model is only successful for you if your salon owner is considerate enough not to charge you an arm and a leg as weekly booth fees.
In New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Sacramento, San Francisco, London, Tokyo, and most major cities here in the United States,Canada, and even all over the world, Salon owners charge more than 50 percent of an Artisans weekly take home income as salon booth or chair fees, in some cases even up to 60 percent of their weekly earnings is allotted to pay for booth fees. An Artisan cannot be successful
with this archaic system in place that favors just the salon or beauty shop owner.

Welcome to iDitch.

This is the right way for Artisans to maximize their earnings potential with minimal to non existent overhead fees, with 90 percent of an Artisans earnings deposited in the Artisans coffers after a gig is concluded for the first 3 months. (The % may increase or decrease after 3 months, depending on the Artisans tier ratings placement).
Inclusive incentive of using the iDitch portal are major referral earning opportunities, where user Members makes money by referring people to download, register and use the iDitch App, with potentials to accrue income that is second to none.
Artisans are introduced to technologically inventive process and the most effective way to drive their business on our platform.
Your business and success is paramount to us at iDitch, because your success is inevitably our success too.
Here’s what you will want to know comparing the same old booth way to the iDitch Artisan compensation model, you need not pay any out of pocket money, to pay for a booth. You are TRULY your own boss. In everything you do regarding your cosmetology, grooming, manicure or pedicure careers, you run the show. You set your hours, you keep 90 percent of your earnings, made by you while getting Gigs on our platform.

Understanding the Booth Rental Business Model for Cosmetologists Compared to the iDitch System.
To understand the booth rental business model, it is important to understand that all cosmetologists work under one of two broad classifications:
• Payroll employee
• Non-payroll independent contractor
In other words, the salon you work for will either hire you as an employee (W-2 employee), which means you will work under the direct supervision of a salon owner/manager, or you will work as a self-employed hairstylist, renting a work station (often called a booth or a chair) in a salon.
The booth rental business model allows you to remain an independent stylist somewhat, with the owner or manager of the salon acting as your landlord. The booth rental business model is not suited for everyone; however, for many cosmetologists, this type of format could result in a great deal of professional and financial success, provided it is properly executed and operated.
In contrast, the iDitch business model supports specialty and financial growth, while giving you that much needed personal “YOU” time, for you to delve into any other things that you have always wanted to accomplish in your life.

How Salon Booth Rental Works

Salon chair rental is a fairly simple premise: a licensed cosmetologist (or barber, nail technician, or esthetician) rents a space in a salon. In exchange, the salon owner provides a work space and amenities for the cosmetologist to use. In essence, the salon booth rental model results in businesses within a business.
If you choose this type of model to grow your cosmetology business, you will be responsible for:
• Promoting your services
• Building your clientele
• Providing your own products
• Handling your own accounting and tax obligations
In other words, to make this type of business arrangement a success, you must be both a good stylist and a good
businessperson. You must be willing to handle administrative responsibilities in addition to focusing on your craft.

How the iDitch Artisan Business User Member System Works.

This is how the iDitch system beats the Salon chair rental system. Firstly, iDitch is a technology company, we built an on-demand patented confirmation user interface community platform that works seamlessly with and for “YOU”, the Artisan in mind. The functionalities of our App based system is such that it enables and

A) Assist you in business services promotions
B) Clientele building resources
C) Assist in accounting on all Gigs done on our platform
D) All Tax obligations for all Gigs done on the iDitch platform.

You take care of the professional specialty services you render to your esteemed clients, and we assist you with the administrative parts of your business, with our breakthrough technologies in our iDitch App.

From the moment you register on the iDitch platform, you would be ushered into a community that prides itself with excellence in the beauty and men’s grooming market worldwide.
The iDitch App is not only built to be country specific, but it is also regionally specific. We cater to your specialty services to the core of your wants and needs. We are your bespoke Beautification and men’s grooming specialty services provider that is at your service, effortlessly at the tip of your fingers.
The Artisan chats and works hand in hand in real time with the client, on the iDitch platform to first understand what exactly it is the Clients Beautification or men’s grooming needs are, secondly, the two parties chat in very precise details to know the needs and wants of the client.
Once all exhaustive pointers have been discussed regarding the Gig, the Artisan and Client now have to reach a consensus regarding the pricing for the gig.
The two parties have to concur to the pricing agreement (price of the Gig).
Once this is done, the gig now becomes activated.
The Artisan now proceeds to arrive at a destination chosen by the Client and at a time appointed by the Client.

Benefits and Drawbacks of Salon Booth Rental
From a stylist’s perspective, chair rental can have both its advantages and drawbacks. For most stylists, choosing this type of model for their cosmetology career means plenty of independence. As independent contractors, they are able to:
• Set their own schedule
• Manage their own business
• After the booth rental fee, keep all of their earnings
• Use their favorite product line
However, there are a number of negative aspects of salon booth
rental, as well. Independent stylists must be prepared to:
• Maintain their own books, including filing and paying
quarterly income taxes
• Pay for advertising and market themselves to attract new
• Earn less money while they build their client base
• Deal with increasing booth rental fees
• Purchase their own equipment and supplies
• Pay for their own health insurance and receive no benefits (no vacation time, retirement plan, etc.)
AGAIN, In contrast, with the iDitch Artisans work model, Our Artisans can also

A) Set their own schedule
B) Manage their own business with iDitch tech. Assistance
C) Keep 90% of their earnings unlike booth fees which runs into 60% of weekly earnings in some cities in the world.
D) Use whatever products the Client specifies that the Artisans should use.
E) iDitch maintains your schedules , and books for you, we send you your tax documents for you to file your taxes.
F) You may use our platform to advertise and market your services, at no cost to you.
G) You do not need to pay for advertising or marketing on the iDitch platform. Actually, on our Events link, the Artisan can make money by organizing workshops, where they get substantial financial rewards.
H) After 3 months of being registered on the iDitch platform, the Artisan gets evaluated by Clients and the iDitch evaluation team, upon evaluation, an Artisan may start making less money, if their rating is lower or the Artisan may begging to make more money with a top tier rating.
This here is very unique with the iDitch platform.
I) With iDitch our fees never increase except for instances where the Artisans review and ratings are dismal.
J) Since the Artisan is an independent contractor, he/she must purchase their very own health insurance, which is a
norm for all independent contractors.
K) So we believe with all these stated facts, iDitch is a preferred choice in comparisons.
Keep in mind that not all states permit the booth rental business model, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Colorado, New York, Virginia, and New Jersey, among others.

Choosing a Salon

Choosing a salon is an important decision for a booth renter. First (and arguably most importantly), you must consider the location of the salon. You may choose a salon based on where you live, but is it really the best location for business? The salon you choose must be easily accessible for your clients and, ideally, highly visible. It must also be clean, updated, and filled with other renters with the same high professional standards and performance. The
last thing you want to do is set up shop in a salon that is known for its poor-quality stylists.

Negotiating a Contract or Just Downloading, Registering and Using the iDitch App

A salon booth rental arrangement must include a contract between the cosmetologist and the salon owner. With iDitch, an Artisan downloads the app, fills in the necessary information up, we put the application through a rigorous vetting process, once the Artisan is approved, he/she becomes an iDitch User Member.
A basic contract should include:
• The lease rate
• The length of the contract
• Language regarding cancellation of the contract
• What you are entitled to in exchange for your chair rental Some of the amenities you can expect to receive in this type of arrangement (and should therefore be part of the contract)
• Use of a station
• Use of electricity, water, and credit card machine
• Use of the shampoo area, towels, hair dryers, and other salon equipment
• Use of the reception area
In this type of arrangement, you may also be allowed to add other amenities to your monthly lease rate, such as use of a receptionist or use of the salon phone.
A booth rental will also include the obligations of the salon owner, such as:
• Paying the taxes on the salon
• Protecting the salon property from damage
• Indemnifying the salon from losses resulting from your actions or omissions that harm a third party With iDitch, none of these applies.

Marketing Your Services with iDitch

One of the most important aspects of working on the iDitch platform is the marketing aspect of it, you can market yourself in any which way you so desire. Your iDitch profile page is linked to four different social media networks, namely, Facebook, Instagram, pinterest and twitter. You can use these social media networks to attract new clientele to your iDitch user account page.
There is a plethora of ways to market yourself and your business on the iDitch platform, such as iDitch using your images and profile to attract clients to the platform and to you on other social media networks like on google search engines, other websites and other affluent social media platforms. Your user profile page on our platform should feature your training, experience, list of client services, and before-and-after client pictures. In addition to your personal social media presence advertising your specialty skills and experiences, you must have ways to drive traffic, which often includes incentives for prospective clients, and teaming up with other Artisans to have events where the artisans can make additional income.

Protecting Yourself and Your Business

As an independent contractor, you must protect yourself and your business by carrying personal liability, disability insurance, and health insurance. You must also protect yourself by keeping good records and paying all necessary taxes. Many Artisans use accounting or financial software programs (like Intuit or QuickBooks) that keep expenses, taxes, and income organized and readily accessible for tax purposes. Keep in mind that as an independent ontractor or Artisan on the iDitch platform, you can deduct business-related expenses, such as the purchase of equipment and supplies, so it is important to establish and maintain a concise system of bookkeeping.
Pay close attention to your client, making sure that your client is satisfied and content beyond compare with your quality of work.
For example, performing services that your client needs to be improved upon, you gladly accept the gesture and improve on whatever it is that your client needs improvement upon pending his/her approval.

She relaxed in her apartment at the upper west side, in Manhattan. NYC, hands akimbo, pondering what would be her look for tonight. It was a rainy Friday night, late in November, why is it raining so hard outside, she asks herself aloud, peaking through the window… it was her best friends birthday celebrations and she made a promise she must keep…how could she have her make up and hair done before her friends arrived, a style that could withstand this weather.
Hair salons were closed for the night, it was 11.05pm, she was beginning to feel restless, when she checked her phone just to browse through, hopping on all her social media profiles, on her social media accounts….
There,… Alas,.. she stumbled on an advertisement of the iDitch App,.. it was like an answer from above that fell right on her lap… she downloaded the iDitch App, installed it,…

What You Need to Know

As a cosmetologist, infection control can never be far from your mind, as the responsibility for protecting yourself and your clients from a host of harmful, pathogenic bacteria rests on your shoulders.

Sure, it’s not the most pleasant topic covered during your cosmetology education testing, but it is critically important. After all, your health, the health of your clients, and the success of your future cosmetology career
depend on it.
Here’s what you—and every cosmetologist—need to know about infection control in an environment used by a cosmetologist;
We all understand the need for a medical or dental office to maintain sterile equipment and supplies, yet many of us are unaware that cosmetologists must also meet the same standards. A clean and sanitary environment, and
disinfected tools not only safeguards you and your clients but also ensures compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. We vigorously recommend all iDitch Artisans to adhere to this regulation.

Infectious materials transferred from one person to another can result in skin infections and blood poisoning, and so can unsanitary implements, likes combs, nail files, and shears. This is because implements act as a vehicle, allowing pathogenic organisms, like microbes and germs, to be transmitted between people. Although much of the bacteria found on surfaces are benign, there are a number of organisms that have the potential to wreak havoc on unsuspecting victims:
Staphylococci: Presence in skin abscesses, pustules, and boils
Streptococci: Found in blood poisoning
Diplococci: Cause pneumonia
Gonococci: Cause gonorrhea
Meningococci: Cause meningitis
Bacilli: Produce such diseases as tetanus, influenza, diphtheria, typhoid, and tuberculosis.
These types of bacteria can—and do—easily enter the body a number of ways: through the mouth by food, liquids or items placed in the mouth; through the nose and mouth when breathing; through the eyes by dirty hands or items like unclean contact lenses; and through breaks or wounds in the skin.

What cosmetologist Need to Know

Chemical agents like liquid disinfectants remain the most common (and arguably the most practical) method of infection control in salons. Antiseptic solutions may be used in many instances, but they are not as strong as disinfectant solutions. Antiseptics are often chosen over disinfectants when used on the skin.

Common antiseptics used in a salon environment include:

Alcohol: 50 to 60 percent solution when used on the skin Tincture of iodine: 2 percent serves as a good skin antiseptic Hydrogen peroxide: 3 to 5 percent solution used for minor wounds.

Disinfectants are much stronger; therefore, they are used to destroy bacteria and prevent their multiplication. Many salons use germicides—chemical agents designed to kill bacteria.
Because of the strength of germicides, it is advised not to use these agents when placed on the skin. The most commonly used germicides in salon environments come with brand names like Barbicide, Lucas-Cide, and MarV-Cide.
Disinfecting combs and brushes usually requires them to be submerged in a soapy water solution, 10 percent of which would be formalin, ammonia or another approved disinfectant. Brushes and combs must be immersed for
about 20 minutes and then rinsed with water. Metallic implements, such as shears, can be cleaned using a wet disinfectant (25 percent formalin or other type of disinfectant).
Ammonium compounds are also effective disinfectants, with a 1:1000 parts solution commonly used to disinfect implements. Most immersion times range between 2 and 5 minutes, depending on the strength of the solution.
All EPA-registered liquid disinfectants (Learn more about EPA-registered disinfectants):
Must have the words “bacterial, fungicidal, and virucidal” on the label
Must be mixed, used, stored, and disposed of according to manufacturer’s
label instructions
Must be prepared fresh every day and replaced immediately when the
solution becomes visibly contaminated
Are ineffective when proper cleaning is not performed before use
Require complete immersion of the tool for at least 10 minutes
Other appropriate salon disinfectants include:
10 percent bleach solution (1 part bleach to 9 parts water)
Isopropyl alcohol – 70-90 percent solution
Ethyl alcohol – 70-90 percent solution
Infection Control Protocols and Your State’s Administrative Code
Your state regulatory agencies, such as the Board of Cosmetology and
Board of Health, and federal agencies, such as OSHA and the EPA, protect the public’s health within a salon setting through the implementation of specific laws and regulations. Further, you may be subject to additional regulations regarding infection control protocols through your local jurisdiction. You must be familiar with these regulations at all times.
For example, according to the Tennessee State Board of Cosmetology, salons in Tennessee must have at least one wet disinfectant, one ultraviolet sanitizer, and one dry disinfectant with a fumigant or sanitary compartment.
Therefore, Tennessee cosmetologists must be trained to use all three of these infection control methods.
Similarly, in Washington State, cosmetologists are required to clean and disinfect all tools and implements after each client. Approved methods of infection control include complete immersion or spray with an EPAregistered
disinfectant solution; a steam sterilizer registered and listed with the FDA; or a dry heat sterilizer, registered and listed with the FDA. Further,
cosmetologists must keep all cleaned and disinfected tools and implements in a closed container or UV sterilizer.
Cosmetology programs include in-depth training in sanitation, disinfection and infection control. Your state regulatory agency will test your knowledge of infection control procedures through a written and/or practical
examination. You may also be required to take and pass a state jurisprudence examination related to specific state laws and regulations.
For example, cosmetology graduates in Florida are required to take and pass a two-part examination consisting of a written theory examination and written clinical examination. The written theory examination includes a
section on general safety and sanitation procedures that accounts for 34 percent of the exam content.
Likewise, the California National Cosmetology Written Examination and the National-Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology written examination (used in 29 states) tests a candidate’s knowledge of:
Infection control
Federal regulations (OSHA guidelines, EPA, FDA, Universal Precautions)
Many states also require cosmetologists to complete continuing education related to infection control as a condition of license renewal. For example, in Texas, cosmetologists must complete at least four hours of continuing education during each licensure cycle, one hour of which must be in a topic related to infection control.

What is Electrolysis Hair Removal

What is Electrolysis Hair Removal?

Electrolysis remains the only method of permanent hair removal approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), making it a popular—and often profitable—offering at spas and salons.
At iDitch, we bring your favorite spa to you, our Artisans are trained to provide spa quality specialty services to you at the convenience of your home and at a time appointed by you.
Although personal care professionals may focus their careers solely on electrolysis, many times estheticians and cosmetologists seek an electrologist license in addition to other professional licenses as a way to broaden their professional expertise and secure new clients.

Electrolysis: The Only Proven Method for Permanent Hair Removal

Heredity, hormones, and metabolic disorders may contribute to excess facial and body hair on men and women. Although there are countless methods for removing unwanted hair, electrolysis is the only recognized and government-approved method for permanent hair removal.
Electrolysis involves inserting a fine, sterile probe into the natural opening of the hair follicle. The probe sends a small, electric current to the area, thus destroying the follicle’s ability to regenerate and grow.
To safely perform electrolysis (and earn state licensure, in many states), aspiring iDitch electrologists must complete a course of study in electrology, which involves, among other things, learning about the three modalities of electrolysis – galvanic (chemical process), thermolysis (short-wave heat process), and a blended modality of the two. Depending on a client’s needs, electrologists may use chemical energy, heat energy, or both.

Electrolysis Hair Removal Training Program Options

Individuals interested in becoming an electrologist must meet state licensing requirements governing the practice of electrolysis hair removal in the state in which they plan to offer their services.
This starts by completing a training program or apprenticeship approved by their state board of cosmetology or other regulatory board.
Many schools that offer electrolysis training hold accreditation through a regional accrediting agency and/or one of the following:
• National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences
• Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges
• Council on Occupational Education
States either approve all schools accredited by a particular accrediting agency or maintain a list of approved schools. Most boards maintain a list of approved schools of electrology on their website.
Although the curriculum of an electrolysis program often differs from one program to the next, the American Electrology Association recognizes that an electrolysis program must provide graduates with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform their duties safely and reliably. The American Electrology Association states that all electrolysis schools should—at a minimum—prepare students with:
• Knowledge related to the specific tasks of electrology
• Knowledge, skills, and attitudes developed in clinical experiences
• Knowledge in interpersonal and communications skills
• Knowledge in areas regarding ethics, law, and business essential to the electrolysis professional

The curriculum of an electrolysis program often includes study in:

• Basic sciences (anatomy and physiology, histology, cytology, dermatology, basic biochemistry, etc.)
• Microbiology (disinfection, sterilization, personal hygiene, aseptic techniques, etc.)
• Immunology
• Basic principles of electricity
• Modalities of electrology
• Electrology techniques and variables
• Operation, care, and maintenance of electrolysis equipment
• Psychology (interpersonal skills, case history documentation, ergonomics, etc.)
• Professional electrologist considerations (ethical issues, legal issues, professional standards, etc.)
